Director's Desk
It is a universal fact that in the overall ambit of life, a person armed with a good education is bestowed with an advantage in the quest for success. Therefore, The Institute strives to provide quality education in order to enable the workforce in Lagos and its environs benefit from continuous academic and professional training and development. It also continues to add value to existing part-time degree programmes by strengthening them in terms of quality and quantity of teachers, infrastructure and facilities. Currently, the Institute runs evening programme courses in all six departments of the Faculty of Arts, Mass Communication (Faculty of Social Sciences) and Estate Management (Faculty of Environmental Science) and Part-time in Sandwich programmes (Faculty of Education). Plans are in the pipeline to have additional programmes in other Faculties. These courses are taught by teams of highly qualified and committed teachers. Over the years, processing of ICE students’ results has been a major challenge. However, this situation will soon be a thing of the past. Thanks to the Vice Chancellor for his intervention, many of these issues are being resolved and results of evening and part-time students are now going to be handled on the same platform as full-time students. On this note, I welcome you to an intellectual adventure and wish you a smooth and productive academic session.
